Mount Laurel, New Jersey – April 19, 2023 – Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) recently announced that John P. Dulczak, founder and CEO of RetireeFirst, was selected as a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year® 2023 Greater Philadelphia Awards. Now in its 37th year, Entrepreneur of the Year is one of the preeminent competitive business awards for transformative entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are building a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous world for all.

Dulczak was selected by an independent panel of judges. Entrepreneurs were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

“I’m honored to be recognized for work that gives me an incredible sense of pride and satisfaction. I’m driven by my passion for providing an excellent healthcare benefits experience for our retiree clients. Our focus will always be helping retirees meet their health and wellness needs while reducing costs and administrative burdens of group retiree plans,” Dulczak said. “I’m thankful to the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards committee for seeing the value in what we do and for taking the time to learn more about the motivation behind our company’s amazing journey.”

Founded in 2005, the company quickly made a name for itself as a valuable partner that manages every aspect of group retiree healthcare benefit administration. From plan design and selection to implementation and ongoing benefit administration, RetireeFirst creates a better experience for plan sponsors and helps improve health outcomes for retired members. Following a rebrand to RetireeFirst earlier this year, the company is building on that legacy and upholding its excellent standards.

RetireeFirst has grown significantly the last five years, and company leaders expect that momentum to continue due to the increased demand for its service and skills amid the complex and ever-evolving Medicare landscape. RetireeFirst’s services and solutions are specially designed to support plan sponsors who are challenged with managing benefits budgets and risks while ensuring retiree member needs are met. RetireeFirst Advocates truly care about helping members navigate Medicare, understand their benefits, and connect to programs that can improve their health and wellbeing. The team carries out this mission while maintaining an impressive client retention rate of 100% and achieving an annual net promoter score (NPS) above 90, a significantly higher ranking than the healthcare industry average of 58.

Dulczak and his team are looking forward to June 8, when EY regional award winners will be announced during a special celebration. The winners will then be considered by the national judges for the Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards, which will be presented in November at the annual Strategic Growth Forum® – one of the nation’s most prestigious gatherings of high-growth, market-leading companies. The Entrepreneur of the Year National Overall Award winner will then move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year™ Award in June 2024.

The Entrepreneur of the Year program has recognized more than 11,000 entrepreneurs throughout the US since its inception in 1986, and it has grown to recognize business leaders across 145 cities in over 60 countries around the world.
