With the 2016 enrollment season upon us, Labor First is looking to make some additions to the team. We are hiring Retiree Advocates to help with the implementation and continued support of our many new and existing groups. Please see below for an overview of the position and how to apply.

Job Description

Retiree Advocates act as healthcare concierges for high touch member concerns. They are the face of the company and responsible for making a lasting impression on members.  The Retiree Advocate should have excellent customer service skills and be attentive, patient, courteous, and quick-thinking.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicating with members, doctors, and pharmacies
  • Interacting with fund contacts and insurance companies
  • Entering and updating data in CRM software
  • Maintaining, expanding, and servicing existing clients
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Problem solving capabilities and quick thinking
  • Ability to travel for retiree meetings and events

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Office – specifically Excel
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare billing and coding
  • Experience working with Taft-Hartley and/or multiemployer Health funds
  • Spanish language skills
